Take to the Trails!
Wilderness Hiking begins with the first step from Machin’s Cottages.
The only trails are those made by animals.
Create your own path and lifelong memories as you venture through the wilderness of the Rocky Mountain National Park .
Abundent Wildlife Nearby
Occasionally, wildlife is seen on the Machin property, or as hikers venture into in the Park. Mule Deer and Elk frequently stroll by in route to water at nearby Beaver Creek. Occasionally, coyotes or bobcats pass by; rabbits and chipmunks are frequently seen. Listening to bugling elk during rut season is magical.
